When I tried to unlock my SentrySafe today, I could not insert my key. The keyslot was misaligned between unlocked and locked, a clear sign of tampering. Areas around the bezel plate are also cracked, indicating forced entry. I opened and close this safe less than a week ago, and it was fine.
I spoke with SentrySafe tech support, and they also confirmed that is impossible to misalign the lock by locking and unlocking the safe. I have never had to force the safe to lock or unlock. The last time I locked it, it locked smoothly. I shared pictures and the circumstance with AI as well, and it concluded tampering and forced entry.
In the past two weeks, there was an internet outage, which was then fixed, then my internet went out again. This time ATT did not register it as an outage. When they checked it, 150 feet of cable was cut and stolen less than a quarter of a mile from my house. They repaired it with a splice that left cables exposed on the ground. A day later, my internet went out again, and I was without home internet for several days. I went out to check that area myself and the cables had been cut again. The ATT tech confirmed this the next day.
In that time, my safe was compromised. From my experience of dealing with these criminals for many years, these events are connected. The cameras and motion sensors that I used to watch my property and alert me if a door is opened or there’s motion in the house rely on this internet.
